From the beginning of his career the Spanish tenor Gerardo López has been present in some of the most prestigious festivals, concert halls and theaters in Spain as well as in numerous countries in Europe, Asia and America: Teatro Real de Madrid, Teatro Lírico Nacional de la Zarzuela, Auditorio Nacional de Música, Semana de Música Religiosa de Cuenca, Salle Métropole Lausanne, Tonhalle of Sant Gallen, Festival Muzyczny of Varsovia, Festival of Músique Sacrée of Saint-Malo, Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, Opéra National Montpellier, Festival of Saintes, Auditorio De Singel of Amberes, Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo of Bogotá, Festival Internacional Cervantino México, among others.

He has worked with conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Sylvain Cambreling, Aldo Ceccato, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Jesús López Cobos, Ingo Metzmacher , Alexander Rahbari, AlbertRecasens, Christian Zacharias, among others, and with directors such as Cristoph Marthaler, Lluís Pasqual, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Emilio Sagi or Krzysztof Warlikowski.

Next to numerous opera roles, he has sung recitals and concerts ranging from early music and baroque works to a large number of contemporary pieces, many of them in first performance.

He has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon,Naxos, Lauda, ARTE France, MEZZO, TVE, Radio Clásica-RNE, Polskie Radio and Radio SuisseRomande.
