David Sánchez

The Spanish bass David Sánchez has developed and consolidated his career singing in the best theatres of Spain: Teatro Real, Auditorio Nacional, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Palau de les Arts, ABAO, Teatro de la Zarzuela, Teatro Campoamor, Temporada Lírica de Coruña, Teatro Principal de Mallorca, among others.
His operatic repertoire includes Caronte (L’Orfeo), Don Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro), Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Don Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Sparafucile (Rigoletto), Ferrando (Il trovatore) Colline (La Bohème), Angelotti (Tosca), Timur (Turandot), among others.

He also sings on the concert platform, with repertoire including Magnificat (J.S.Bach), Coronation Mass and Requiem (W.A.Mozart), Mass in C and Chorfantasie (L.v.Beethoven), Psalm 42 (F.Menselssohn), The song of the forests (D. Shostakovich).

David has been conducted by Y.Abel, I.Bolton, S.Bychkov, J.Conlon, N.Luisotti, D.Renzetti, P.Steinberg, R.Tebar, K.L.Wilson, A.Yurkevich, A.Zedda; and directed by Comediants, M. Gas, M.Gasparon, C.Guth, G.Joosten, R.Koering, D.Livermore, C.Loy, D.McVicar, M.Pontiggia, A.Sanzol or G.Tambascio.

He was a finalist in the “Concours International d’Art Lyrique” de Provence, in France and he won the second prize male at the "National Competition of Zarzuela - Sanmilírico", in Spain. In 2015 he was part of the "Centro de Perfeccionamiento Plácido Domingo" (Palau de les Arts de Valencia), and in 2017 participated in the "Renata Scotto Opera's Program" (Naples-EEUU).
